Exhaust Temperature Sensor Replacement - Position 2

Preliminary Procedure 
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
1 Exhaust Temperature Sensor

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. Release the retainers from the bracket.
  3. If reinstalling the old sensor, coat the threads with anti-sieze compound. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
  4. If replacing, perform the exhaust gas temperature sensor reset. Refer to Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Reset 
  5. If replacing, perform the NOx catalyst reductant loading reset. Refer to NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset 
NOTE:

Apply penetrating oil to the sensor and allow to soak for 10 minutes prior to removal.


tighten 
45 N.m. (33 lb ft)
