Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Disconnect Engine Wiring Harness @ Electrical Connector

  3. Unclip [2x] Electrical Connector @ Crankshaft Position Sensor Bracket
  4. Remove [2x] Crankshaft Position Sensor Bracket Bolt

    CAUTION:

    Do not allow the crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring to come into contact with external magnetic fields or sharp metal objects. Do not drop the crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring. Do not damage the rubberized encoder track. Failure to follow these precautions may cause damage to the component.

  6. Remove Crankshaft Position Sensor Bolt
  7. Remove Crankshaft Position Sensor
