Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    If reinstalling the old sensor, coat the threads with anti-sieze compound. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .

  1. Use a suitable deep, flare nut socket designed for removing/installing sensors install the EGR cooler temperature sensor (1) and tighten to 45 N.m. (33 lb ft).
  2. Install the EGR cooler temperature sensor wiring (4) in the clip (5).
  3. Install the EGR cooler temperature sensor wiring clip (2) to the bracket (3).
  4. Connect the electrical connector (1).
  5. Install Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Hose - Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Hose Replacement 
  6. Install Engine Cover - Refer to Engine Cover Replacement
  7. If replacing, perform the exhaust gas temperature sensor reset. Refer to Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Reset 
  8. If replacing, perform the NOx catalyst reductant loading reset. Refer to NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset
