Removal Procedure

WARNING:

The noise cancelling foam component MUST be replaced if it has been exposed to engine fluids. Failure to replace the noise cancelling foam component that has been exposed to engine fluids may result in an engine fire resulting in catastrophic engine damage, and possible injury or death.

  1. Disconnect Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  2. Remove Engine Sight Shield Replacement
  3. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
  4. Remove the charge air cooler outlet air hose from throttle body. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement .

    NOTE:

    Lay a lint-free cloth under the fuel feed intermediate pipe.

  6. Remove the fuel injection fuel feed pipe feed intermediate pipe - high pressure bracket bolt (3).
  7. Loosen the 2 nuts (2, 5).
  8. Remove the fuel injection fuel feed pipe feed intermediate pipe - high pressure (4) from the fuel injection fuel rail (1) and from the fuel pump (6).
  9. Remove and DISCARD the fuel feed intermediate pipe - high pressure (4).
