Removal Procedure

  1. If replacing the bank 2 spark plugs, remove the radiator surge tank. refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
  2. If replacing the bank 2 spark plugs, remove the underhood electrical center/Junction block and bracket. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement .
  3. Remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs. Refer to Spark Plug Wire Replacement .
  4. Loosen each spark plug 1 or 2 turns.
  5. Use a brush, or use compressed air in order to remove any dirt from the spark plugs.

  6. Remove the spark plugs (1) one at a time and place each plug in a tray marked with the corresponding cylinder numbers.
