Circuit/System Description
The ECM uses the charging/discharging current data from the battery current sensor to determine the battery condition. It uses this information to determine if more output is required from the generator. The ECM sends a generation command value to the underhood fuse block. The generator charges the battery according to a received PWM control signal from the underhood fuse block. If no PWM control is received, the generator continues to perform normal power generation according to the characteristic of the internal voltage regulator. The generator monitors the battery voltage and adjusts the generator output using the volage regulator.
