Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect Battery Negative Cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

  2. Remove Instrument Panel Assembly (1). Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement

  3. Remove Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator (3). Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Replacement

  4. Remove Radio Assembly Bolts (1)

  5. Remove the ground nut (1) and ground wire.
  6. Remove the ground bolt (2) and ground wire.
  7. Unclip and disconnect the I/P main harness connector (3).
  8. Disconnect the coax antenna connectors (4).
  9. Unclip the passenger side DLC connector (5).
  10. Disconnect the passenger side airbag connector (6).

  11. Unclip the harness retainer (1).

  12. Pull the radio assembly (1) upward with the harness.

  13. Position the radio and harness assembly toward the interior of the vehicle.
  14. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1).
  15. Detach the wiring harness securing clips.
  16. Remove the radio from the vehicle.

  17. Remove Bolts (1)
  18. Remove Communication Interface Module Battery @ Radio Assembly (2)
