Component Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the A23D Door Latch Assembly-Driver.
  2. Test for infinite resistance between the terminals listed below with the switch in the open position:
    • Signal terminal D and ground terminal C - right hand drive
    • Signal terminal B and ground terminal C - right hand drive
    • Signal terminal A and ground terminal B - left hand drive
    • Signal terminal C and ground terminal B - left hand drive
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the A23D Door Latch Assembly-Driver.

    • If infinite resistance 
  3. Test for less than 2 Ω between the terminal listed below with the switch in the Lock position:
    • Signal terminal B and ground terminal C - right hand drive
    • Signal terminal C and ground terminal B - left hand drive
    • If 2 Ω or greater 

      Replace the A23D Door Latch Assembly-Driver.

    • If less than 2 Ω 
  4. Test for less than 2 Ω between the terminals listed below with the switch in the Unlock position:
    • Signal terminal D and ground terminal C - right hand drive
    • Signal terminal A and ground terminal B - left hand drive
    • If 2 Ω or greater 

      Replace the A23D Door Latch Assembly-Driver.

    • If less than 2 Ω 
  5. All OK
