Circuit/System Verification

  1. Vehicle in Service Mode.
  2. Verify the scan tool Door Lock Switch parameter changes from Inactive to Lock and Unlock when pushing the appropriate switch on the S13D Door Lock Switch-Driver.
    • If the parameter is always Inactive 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Door Lock Switch Inoperative.

    • If the parameter changes between Inactive and Lock only 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Door Lock Switch Malfunction.

    • If the parameter changes between Inactive and Unlock only 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Door Lock Switch Malfunction.

    • If the parameter is always Lock 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Lock/Unlock Signal Circuit Test.

    • If the parameter is always Unlock 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Lock/Unlock Signal Circuit Test.

    • If the parameter changes 
  3. Verify the scan tool Door Lock Switch parameter changes from Inactive to Lock and Unlock when pushing the appropriate switch on the S13P Door Lock Switch-Passenger.
    • If the parameter is always Inactive 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Door Lock Switch Inoperative.

    • If the parameter changes between Inactive and Lock only 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Door Lock Switch Malfunction.

    • If the parameter changes between Inactive and Unlock only 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Door Lock Switch Malfunction.

    • If the parameter is always Lock 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Lock/Unlock Signal Circuit Test.

    • If the parameter is always Unlock 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Lock/Unlock Signal Circuit Test.

    • If the parameter changes 
  4. Verify all vehicle doors and liftgate lock and unlock when commanding the All Doors Lock/Unlock with a scan tool.
    • If only the driver door does not lock and unlock 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Driver Door Lock Malfunction.

    • If one or more passenger doors or the liftgate does not lock and unlock 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Passenger Door Lock Malfunction.

    • If the liftgate and all doors do not lock and unlock 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - All Door Lock Inoperative.

    • If all doors lock and unlock 
  5. All OK.
