Circuit/System Verification

- Perform the Battery Inspection/Test .
- Engine running.
- Verify that no DTCs are set that would cause a charging system concern.
- If an applicable DTC is set
Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- If no applicable DTCs are set
- If an applicable DTC is set
- Ignition OFF.
- Measure and record the C1 Battery voltage at the C1 Battery terminals. The C1 Battery voltage should stabilize within a few minutes of turning the Ignition OFF.
- Engine running and all accessories OFF.
- Measure and record the C1 Battery voltage at the C1 Battery terminals. The voltage should be at least 1V greater than the voltage measured previously but less than 15.5V.
- If not within the specified range
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If within the specified range
- If not within the specified range
- All OK.
NOTE:
To accurately diagnose the charging system, the C1 Battery must be fully charged and capable of passing the Battery Inspection/Test.
NOTE:
The engine must be started to enable high voltage and the 14V Power Module. They will remain enabled during any subsequent Autostops.
