Circuit/System Testing
NOTE:
Use the schematic to determine which devices are on the accessory wakeup serial data 2 circuit. Use the connector end view to identify the accessory wakeup serial data 2 circuit terminal for each of those devices.
P24F0
- Ignition/Vehicle OFF, disconnect the harness connectors at an easily accessible device that shares the accessory wakeup serial data 2 circuit. Ignition ON/Vehicle In Service Mode.
- Verify that the DTC P24F0 remains current.
- If the DTC becomes history
Replace the device that was just disconnected.
- If the DTC remains current
- If the DTC becomes history
- With the prior devices disconnected, repeat steps 1 and 2 for each device on the accessory wakeup serial data 2 circuit except the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2.
- Ignition/Vehicle OFF, disconnect the X3 harness connector at the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2.
- Test for infinite resistance between the accessory wakeup serial data 2 circuit terminal 8 X3 at the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance
Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- Replace the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2.
P24F1
- Ignition/Vehicle OFF, disconnect the harness connectors at an easily accessible device that shares the accessory wakeup serial data 2 circuit. Ignition ON/Vehicle In Service Mode.
- Verify that the DTC P24F1 remains current.
- If the DTC becomes history
Replace the device that was just disconnected.
- If the DTC remains current
- If the DTC becomes history
- With the prior devices disconnected, repeat steps 1 and 2 for each device on the accessory wakeup serial data 2 circuit except the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2.
- Ignition/Vehicle OFF, disconnect the X3 harness connector at the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2, ignition ON/Vehicle In Service Mode.
- Test for less than 1 V between the accessory wakeup serial data 2 circuit terminal 8 X3 at the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2 and ground.
- If 1 V or greater
Repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If less than 1 V
- If 1 V or greater
- Replace the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2.
