Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9)
  2. Remove Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
  3. Relieve the fuel system pressure Fuel Pressure Relief .
  4. Remove the charge air cooler outlet air hose from the throttle body. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement .

    NOTE:

    Lay a lint-free cloth under the fuel feed intermediate pipe.

  5. Remove the high pressure fuel feed intermediate pipe bracket bolt (3).
  6. Loosen the fuel feed intermediate pipe fittings (2, 5).
  7. Remove the high pressure fuel feed intermediate pipe (4) from the fuel injection fuel rail (1) and from the fuel injection pump (6).
  8. Remove and DISCARD the high pressure fuel feed intermediate pipe (4).
