Installation Procedure

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

NOTE: Some procedures may require a OEM scan tool and/or OEM software to complete diagnosis or repair.
  1. Install the vehicle yaw sensor with lateral accelerometer (1) to the vehicle.
    2. Fig 1: Yaw Rate Sensor/Lateral Accelerometer, Nuts & Electrical Connector

  2. Install the vehicle yaw sensor with lateral accelerometer nuts (2) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  3. Connect the electrical connector (3) to the vehicle yaw sensor with lateral accelerometer.
  4. Install a scan tool.
  5. Using the special functions menu on the scan tool, reset the vehicle yaw sensor with lateral accelerometer.
  6. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
  7. Install the carpet.
  8. Install the passenger seat to the vehicle. Driver or Passenger Seat Removal and Installation
