Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Ensure there is no dirt or debris in the turbocharger housing valve cavity.

  1. Charge Air Bypass Valve Membrane - Install
  2. Charge Air Bypass Valve Piston - Install
  3. Valve Spring - Install

    NOTE:

    The charge air bypass valve piston guide pin fits inside the charge air bypass valve cover guide bore.

  4. Charge Air Bypass Valve Cover - Install
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Fastener - Install &Tighten the bolts until snug.
  6. Fastener - Tighten 12 N.m (106 lb in)
  7. Use GE-23738-A  Vacuum Pump to check for vacuum leak.

  8. Hose Clamp to Charge Air Bypass Valve Tube Connector - Loosely install
  9. Charge Air Bypass Valve Tube Connector - Install
  10. Hose Clamp to Charge Air Bypass Valve Tube Connector - Move into position &Tighten
  11. Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator»Install — Turbocharger Assemble
  12. Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Installation »Install
