Driver Window Switch
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S79D Window Switch-Driver.
- Test for infinite resistance between the terminals listed below with the switch in the open position:
- Ignition terminal 6 and control terminal 1
- Ignition terminal 6 and control terminal 2
- Ignition terminal 6 and control terminal 4
- Ignition terminal 6 and control terminal 5
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the S79D Window Switch-Driver.
- If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 3 Ω between the terminals listed below with the switch in the open position:
- Ground terminal 3 and control terminal 1
- Ground terminal 3 and control terminal 2
- Ground terminal 3 and control terminal 4
- Ground terminal 3 and control terminal 5
- If 3 Ω or greater
Replace the S79D Window Switch-Driver.
- If less than 3 Ω
- Test for less than 3 Ω between the terminals listed below with the switch in the Up position.
- Driver window left hand drive - ignition terminal 6 and control terminal 5
- Driver window right hand drive - ignition terminal 6 and control terminal 1
- Passenger window left hand drive - ignition terminal 6 and control terminal 4
- Passenger window right hand drive - ignition terminal 6 and control terminal 2
- If 3 Ω or greater
Replace the S79D Window Switch-Driver.
- If less than 3 Ω
- Test for less than 3 Ω between the terminals listed below with the switch in the Down position:
- Driver window left hand drive - ignition terminal 6 and control terminal 2
- Driver window right hand drive - ignition terminal 6 and control terminal 4
- Passenger window left hand drive - ignition terminal 6 and control terminal 1
- Passenger window right hand drive - ignition terminal 6 and control terminal 5
- If 3 Ω or greater
Replace the S79D Window Switch-Driver.
- If less than 3 Ω
- All OK
