Removal Procedure

WARNING: Refer to Exhaust Service Warning .
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the exhaust temperature sensor wiring harness plug (1).

  4. Remove the exhaust temperature sensor (3) out of the retainer (2).
  5. Remove the 2 straps.
  6. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  7. Remove the exhaust temperature sensor (1) from the exhaust front pipe thread (4), use a suitable tool.
