Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Starter Solenoid B (+) Nut

  1. Install the battery positive and negative cable (5) to the vehicle.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the engine harness and battery cable male ground bolt (3) and tighten to 40 (30 lb ft).
  3. Install the generator B (+) nut (2) and tighten to 11 (8 lb ft).
  4. Install the starter solenoid B (+) nut (1) and tighten to 12 (9 lb ft).
  5. Install the retainer (4).
  6. Install the exhaust pipe assembly. Refer to Exhaust Pipe Replacement (LFM) .
  7. Lower the vehicle.

  8. Install the battery negative cable (2).
  9. Install the battery negative cable frame ground bolt (1) and tighten to 9 (80 lb in).
  10. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .

  11. Install the positive battery cable (3) to the fuse block and auxiliary fuse block.
  12. Install the positive battery cable nut (1, 2) and tighten to 12 (9 lb ft).
  13. Install the fuse box cover.
  14. Install the auxiliary fuse block cover.
  15. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .

  16. Connect the body wiring master harness connector (1) to the battery positive cable junction block.
  17. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  18. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  19. Close the hood.
