Installation Procedure

  1. Assemble the exhaust gas recirculation valve cooler. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Assemble .

  2. Install the exhaust gas recirculation valve cooler (1).
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the 2 exhaust gas recirculation valve cooler nuts (2) and the 2 exhaust gas recirculation valve cooler bolts (3) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  4. Install all wiring harness plugs, retainer clips and hoses:
    1. Install the automatic transmission wiring harness strap.
    2. Install the turbocharger wastegate actuator hose.
    3. Install the coolant air bleed hose to the thermostat housing.
    4. Install the vacuum hose to the power brake booster pump.
    5. Connect the wiring harness plug to the exhaust gas recirculation vacuum regulator valve solenoid.
    6. Connect the wiring harness plug to the engine coolant temperature sensor.
    7. Connect the heater inlet hose quick fitting.
    8. Connect the wiring harness plug to the exhaust gas recirculation valve.
    9. Install the coolant pipe to oil cooler to the exhaust gas recirculation cooler assembly.
  5. Install the exhaust pressure sensor pipe. Refer to Exhaust Pressure Sensor Pipe Replacement .
  6. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt to the exhaust gas recirculation cooler and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  7. Install the charge air cooler hose to the throttle body.
  8. Install the exhaust gas recirculation pipe. Refer to Exhaust Pressure Sensor Pipe Replacement .
  9. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  10. Install the radiator inlet hose to thermostat housing. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (2.0L Diesel LUZ) .
  11. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
