Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear compartment floor panel trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Replacement (North America) , Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Replacement (Export - CU9, CV5, CZ3, C4E) .
  2. Fig 1: Battery Insulator And Top Of Battery

  3. Remove the battery insulator (1) from the top of the battery.

    WARNING:

    Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning .

  5. Loosen the battery negative cable clamp fastener (1) and remove the battery negative cable (2) from the battery negative post.
