Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear compartment floor panel carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Convertible)

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement (Convertible)

- Remove left side quarter trim panel. Refer to Quarter Trim Panel Replacement (Convertible)

- Remove the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement
.
- Remove rear seat back cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation (Convertible)

- Open the battery positive cable terminal cover.
- Loosen the battery terminal nut (1) and remove the battery positive cable clamp from the battery post.
- Detach the battery positive cable retainer (2) and push the battery positive cable (4) through the seat back panel (3) opening.

- Remove the junction block cover (4) and remove the junction block nut (3).
- Remove the battery positive cable to starter cable from the junction block terminal (1).
- Remove the battery positive cable (2).
- Disconnect the battery positive cable retainers leading to the plenum pass-through.

- Remove the pass-through grommet (1) from the floor plenum.
- Disconnect the battery positive cable retainers (2) from the floor plenum.
- Pull the battery positive cable into the passenger compartment through the plenum opening.

- Working through the openings in the floor carpet, disconnect the battery positive cable retainers (1) along the floor console tunnel.

- Detach battery positive cable retainers (1) and remove the battery positive cable (2) from the passenger compartment.
