Circuit/System Verification

- Verify that DTC P0A2C is not set.
- If DTC P0A2C is set, Refer to DTC P0A2B-P0A2D or P0A31-P0A33 .
- Vehicle ON, observe the scan tool ECM engine coolant temperature (ECT) and Transmission Fluid Temperature parameters in freeze frame data. The readings should be below 125°C (257°F).
- If the ECT was above 125°C (257°F) when the DTC set, go to Engine Overheating and correct that concern first.
- Vehicle ON, observe the scan tool motor 1 temperature and motor 2 temperature parameters in freeze frame data. The reading should be above 200°C (392°F). If greater than the specified value, refer to Automatic Transmission Overheating . If the transmission tests normal, replace M15A drive motor 1 generator.
