Knock Sensor Replacement

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Disconnect the starter connector. Refer to Starter Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the generator connector. Refer to Generator Replacement .
  5. Remove the intake manifold rear bracket. Refer to Lower Intake Manifold Replacement (LFM) .
  6. Disconnect the knock sensor wiring harness connector.
1 Knock Sensor Retaining Bolt
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Procedure 
Remove the knock sensor retaining bolt.
Tighten 
25 (18 lb ft)
2 Knock Sensor
