Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  3. Remove the 2 intake manifold upper bracket bolt (2) and intake manifold upper bracket (1).
  4. Disconnect the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve electrical connector.

  5. Remove the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve bolts (1).
  6. Remove the camshaft position actuator solenoid valves (2).
  7. Remove the 2 camshaft position actuator solenoid valve seal (3).
  8. Transfer parts as necessary.
