Relay Test

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the KR95A liftgate release relay.
  2. Test for 60-180 Ω between terminals 44 and 48.
    • If not within the specified range, replace the KR95A liftgate release relay.
  3. Test for infinite resistance between the following terminals:
    • 44 and 46
    • 44 and 45
    • 48 and 46
    • 48 and 45
    • If not the specified value, replace the KR95A liftgate release relay.
  4. Install a 5 A fused jumper wire between relay terminal 44 and 12 V. Install a jumper wire between relay terminal 48 and ground. Test for less than 2 Ω between terminals 46 and 45.
    • If greater than the specified range, replace the KR95A liftgate release relay.
