Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. If equipped with AWD, remove the right side catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LF1) .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
1 Bolt
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  9 N.m (80 lb in)

2 Bolt

Tighten:  58 N.m (42 lb ft)

3 Exhaust Manifold Lower Heat Shield
4 Bolt

Tighten:  10 N.m (89 lb in)

5 Crankshaft Position Sensor

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor harness connector.
  2. If LF1, perform the crankshaft position system variation learn procedure. Refer to Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn (LF1)
