Removal Procedure

Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning .

  1. Remove the floor matt from between the front and middle row passenger seat, if equipped.
  2. Place the front passenger seat in the full forward position.
  3. Remove the rear seat front trim covers.

  5. Record all of the customers radio station presets.
  6. Turn OFF all the lamps and accessories.
  7. Ensure the ignition switch is in the OFF position and the key is removed.
  8. From inside the vehicle, remove the battery cover screw and cover.

  10. Loosen the negative battery cable clamp nut (1) at the battery negative post (2).
  11. Remove the negative battery cable clamp from the battery negative post (2) and set aside.
