Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Reposition the engine control module bracket/battery hold-down retainer. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the positive battery cable from the battery post. Refer to Battery Positive Cable Replacement (LFW) , Battery Positive Cable Replacement (LAF or LEA) 
1 Battery Cover
2 Engine Control Module Bracket Bolt
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
22 N.m (16 lb ft)
3 Engine Control Module
4 Battery Retainer Bracket Bolt
Tighten 
22 N.m (16 lb ft)
5 Battery Retainer Bracket Nut
Tighten 
9 N.m (80 lb in)
6 Battery
