Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the steering shaft upper bearing spring. Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Manual) , Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Telescoping) .
  2. Remove the turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement .
  3. Remove the windshield wiper and windshield washer switch from the steering column. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement .

  4. Remove the two screws (1) securing the steering column lock (2) to the steering column.
  5. Remove the steering column electric lock (2) from the steering column.
