Removal Procedure

  1. Vent the cargo fuel tank. Refer to Compressed Natural Gas Tank Venting .
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

  3. Disconnect the fuel outlet line from the high pressure lock-off (HPL) solenoid.
  4. Disconnect the HPL vent lines.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connector at the high pressure lock-off solenoid.

  6. Remove all of the tank strap retaining nuts and bolts (4).
  7. Support the tank assembly with the J-45529  tool using an engine hoist.
  8. Remove the tank from the vehicle.
