Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the CNG fuel lines to the tee fitting using New O-rings. Lubricate New O-rings with petroleum jelly or equivalent before installation. Tighten the fuel line fitting to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
  2. Open all manual shut-off valves to each fuel tanks.
  3. Install ALL the tank cover. Refer to Compressed Natural Gas Tank Cover Replacement - Aft Tank , , Compressed Natural Gas Tank Cover Replacement - Cargo Tank , and Compressed Natural Gas Tank Cover Replacement - Midship Tank .
  4. Install the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  5. Start the vehicle and inspect for CNG fuel leaks at the serviced fittings with the J-45878  detector or an equivalent leak detector.
