Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning .

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) , Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) .
  2. Remove the upper and lower steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement .
  3. Fig 1: Electrical Connector

  4. Disconnect the turn signal switch (2) electrical connector (1).

  6. Press the retaining tabs (2) on the turn signal switch (1) and pull the turn signal switch assembly away from the steering column.
