Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel lower left trim plate assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  2. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  3. Fig 1: Identifying Brake Pedal Position Sensor, Electrical Connector, Locating Tab & Brake Pedal Bracket

  4. Disconnect the brake pedal position sensor electrical connector (1).
  5. Remove the brake pedal position sensor to brake pedal bracket retaining bolt (4).
  6. Disengage the brake pedal position sensor locating tab (3) from the brake pedal bracket (2).
  7. Remove the brake pedal position sensor (5).
