Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition ON, observe the DTC information with the scan tool.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the yaw rate and lateral accelerometer sensor connector.
  3. Ignition OFF for 5 minutes, test for less than 1 ohm of resistance between the low reference circuit terminal 6 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified value, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit test normal, replace the EBCM.
  4. Test the lateral accelerometer 12 volt reference circuit terminal 1 for a short to voltage or ground.
    • If all circuits test normal, replace the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer sensor, cycle the ignition switch and perform the yaw rate sensor reference table reset procedure.
    • If the DTC sets again after replacing the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer sensor, replace the EBCM.
