Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  1. Position the fuel injection fuel rail assembly (2) and install the fuel rail fasteners (1). Tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

  3. Install the fuel rail feed pipe fittings (1) and tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
  4. Install the fuel high pressure pipes - rail to rail. Refer to Fuel High Pressure Pipe Replacement - Rail to Rail .
  5. Install the fuel high pressure pipes - pump to rail. Refer to Fuel High Pressure Pipe Replacement - Pump to Rail .
  6. Install the right fuel injector feed pipes. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement - Right Side .
  7. Install the exhaust gas recirculation valve cooler assembly. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Replacement .
  8. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming .
  9. Start the engine.

    If the engine does not start, repeat the above step.

  10. Inspect the fuel system for leaks.
  11. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
