Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat shoulder belt retractor (1).
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the lower seat shoulder belt retractor bolt (2) and tighten to 68 N.m (50 lb ft).
  3. Install the seat shoulder belt anchor pushpin retainer (3).
  4. Install the upper seat shoulder belt retractor bolt (4) and tighten to 42 N.m (31 lb ft)
  5. Install the seat shoulder belt guide adjustable cover (5).
  6. Install the anchor linkage plate with the seat belt webbing label facing the occupant. Ensure there is no twist in webbing from the D ring to the anchor linkage plate.
  7. Push the anchor linkage plate into linkage cover past the white stamped markings.
  8. Install the anchor linkage plate bolt/screw (6) and tighten to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  9. Check for label facing inward toward occupant and no twisting in the seat belt webbing (1).

  10. Check that NO white line and stamping numbers are visible above the anchor linkage plate cover (1).

  11. This illustration shows proper installation of anchor linkage plate cover (1).
  12. Install the door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  13. Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
