Liftgate Hydraulic Pump Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Open and support the liftgate.
  2. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  3. Remove the accessory and liftgate control module. Refer to Accessory and Liftgate Control Module Replacement .
  4. Position a clean protective covering over the interior and adjacent panels.
1 Liftgate Hydraulic Pump Nut (Qty: 3)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Procedure 
Reposition the hydraulic pump to access the hydraulic pump hoses.
Tighten 
12 N.m (106 lb in)
2 Liftgate Hydraulic Pump

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the hydraulic pump hoses. Refer to Liftgate Hydraulic Actuator Hose Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Inspect the liftgate hydraulic system for proper operation before final assembly of the trim panels. Refer to Liftgate Hydraulic System Refilling , and Liftgate Hydraulic System Bleeding .
