Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (LZ4, LZE, or LGD) .
  2. Remove the secondary air injection (AIR) shutoff/check valve nuts (1).

  3. Remove the AIR pipe bolts (1).
  4. Remove the AIR pipe, heat shield, and gaskets. Discard the gaskets.
  5. Remove the heat shield from the AIR pipe.
