Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate module/sensor.
  2. Ignition OFF, test for less than 3 Ω between the ground circuit terminals listed below and ground:
    • Terminal 13, K17 Electronic brake control module
    • Terminal 38, K17 Electronic brake control module
    • Terminal 6, B99 Steering wheel angle sensor
    • Terminal 6, B119 Multi-Axis acceleration sensor
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  3. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+/ignition circuits listed below and ground:
    • Terminal 1, K17 Electronic brake control module
    • Terminal 25, K17 Electronic brake control module
    • Terminal 35, K17 Electronic brake control module
    • Terminal 5, B99 Steering wheel angle sensor
    • Terminal 5, B119 Multi-Axis acceleration sensor
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for an open/high resistance.
  4. If all circuits test normal, replace the appropriate module/sensor.
