Setup For Component Replacement

The replacement of some components will require a setup procedure for complete repair.

• If any of the following components are replaced, an idle learn procedure must be performed. Refer to the procedure:
  • THROTTLE/IDLE LEARN
• Throttle body assembly
• ECM
  • If any of the following components are replaced, a CKP variation learn procedure must be performed. Refer to the appropriate procedure:
    • CRANKSHAFT POSITION SYSTEM VARIATION LEARN
• CKP sensor
• Engine replacement
• Any engine repair that disturbs the relationship between CKP sensor and the crankshaft reluctor wheel.
