Installation Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    NOTE: DO NOT apply thread sealant to the sensor threads. The sensor threads are coated at the factory. Applying additional sealant affects the sensors ability to detect detonation.
  1. Install and tighten the bank 1 knock sensor (1) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)  .

  3. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (1) to the knock sensor.
  4. Install the radiator air baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
