Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LZ4, LY7, and LE5)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LAT) .

  3. Rotate the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise.
  4. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  5. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (LE5)  or Generator Replacement (LZ4)  or Generator Replacement (LY7) .

  7. Remove the drive belt tensioner bolt.
  8. Remove the drive belt tensioner.
  9. Remove the drive belt idler pulley bolt.
  10. Remove the drive belt idler pulley.

  12. Remove the generator bracket bolts.
  13. Remove the generator bracket.
