Throttle Body Assembly Replacement

Callout Component Name
Preliminary Procedure: 
Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
1 Throttle Body Nut (Qty: 3)
CAUTION: Handle the electronic throttle control components carefully. Use cleanliness in order to prevent damage. Do not drop the electronic throttle control components. Do not roughly handle the electronic throttle control components. Do not immerse the electronic throttle control components in cleaning solvents of any type.
CAUTION: Do not insert any tools into the throttle body bore in order to avoid damage to the throttle valve plate.
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure: 
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Tip: 
  • An 8-digit part identification number is stamped on the throttle body casting. Refer to this number if servicing, or part replacement is required.
  • Verify that the throttle actuator motor harness connector and the connector seal are properly installed and not damaged.

Tighten:  10 N.m (89 lb in)

2 Throttle Body Assembly

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the vacuum hoses.
  2. Perform the Throttle Learn Procedure. Refer to Throttle Learn .
