Installation Procedure

  1. Position the battery in the battery tray (3).
  2. Install the battery hold down retainer (2).
    3. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the battery hold down retainer bolt (1) and tighten to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  4. Install the positive battery cable (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  5. Install the negative battery cable and tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the battery box cover (1).
