Installation Procedure

  1. Place the power steering pump pulley on the end of the power steering pump shaft.
  2. Install the power steering pump pulley using J 25033-C  . See Special Tools .

  3. Ensure that the power steering pump pulley is flush against the power steering pump shaft (2), with an allowable variance of 0.25 mm (0.010 in).
  4. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement for the 4.3L engine, or to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory , or to Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement for the 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L engine, or to Drive Belt Replacement for the 6.6L engine.
  5. Install the upper fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L) or Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (6.6L) .
