Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  3. Remove the charged air cooler inlet hose/pipe assembly. Refer to Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement (Inlet) or Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement (Outlet) .
  4. Disconnect the glow plug control module electrical connectors.

  5. Disconnect the positive battery cable from the glow plug control module.
  6. Remove the glow plug control module bolts.
  7. Remove the glow plug control module.
  8. Remove the glow plug control module bracket bolts, if required.
  9. Remove the glow plug control module bracket, if required.
