Installation Procedure

  1. Install the glow plug control module bracket, if required.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the glow plug control module bracket bolts, if required.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the glow plug control module.
  4. Install the glow plug control module bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the positive battery cable to the glow plug control module.
  6. Connect the glow plug control module electrical connectors.
  7. Install the charged air cooler hose/pipe assembly. Refer to Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement (Inlet) or Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement (Outlet) .
  8. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  9. If a NEW glow plug control module was installed, program the module. Refer to Control Module References .
  10. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
