Installation Procedure

  1. Apply lubricate GM P/N 1051344 (Canadian P/N 993037) to the nose of the valve blade (1).

  2. Install the intake manifold tuning valve.
  3. Install the intake manifold tuning valve bolts.

    Tighten:   Tighten the nuts to 10 Nm (89 in ft).

  4. Install the power steering pump. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP REPLACEMENT .

  5. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (1) to the intake manifold tuning valve.
  6. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD COVER REPLACEMENT .
