Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.

  1. 2:  Symptoms in the stop lamp circuit can cause the DTC to set.
  1. 3:  This step checks for a BPP DTC. BPP failure can cause the DTC to set.
  2. 4:  This step Checks to see if the DTC will reset as current.

1 Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle? Go To Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information
2 Most occurrences of this DTC are caused by excessive TCS activation or braking. Review with the customer to verify the conditions under which the DTC set.
Did vehicle operation cause this DTC to set?
Go To Step 3  Go to Diagnostic Aids

  1. Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTCs.
  2. Operate the vehicle within normal driving conditions.
Does the DTC reset?
Go To Step 1  System OK
