Circuit/System Testing
- Disconnect the fuel temperature sensor.
- Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
- Observe the Fuel Temperature parameter with a scan tool.
- If the fuel temperature is warmer than -40° (-40°F), test the signal circuit for a short to ground.
- Connect a 3-amp fused jumper wire between the fuel temperature sensor signal circuit and the low reference circuit.
- If the fuel temperature is colder than 150°C (302°F), test for high resistance in the signal circuit or the low reference circuit.
