Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the EBCM connector.

  3. Connect the brake fluid pressure sensor connector.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Place the BPMV in the bracket and tighten the two insulator nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  7. Connect the brake pipes that enter the BPMV from the front and rear calipers (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  9. Connect the brake pipes that enter the BPMV from the master cylinder (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  10. Install the belt tensioner.
  11. Connect the upper radiator hose. Refer to Radiator Hose Replacement - Inlet in Engine Cooling.

  13. Connect the surge tank inlet hose. Refer to Surge Tank Hose/Pipe Replacement - Inlet in Engine Cooling.
  14. Install the air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls 6.0L..
  15. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical 6.0L.
  16. Fill the coolant system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) in Engine Cooling.
  17. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) in Hydraulic Brakes.
